Rep. Sykes Connects with Constituents at First Community Conversation
AKRON, OH — Last Thursday, U.S. Representative Emilia Strong Sykes (OH-13) held her first Community Conversation in Akron.
“It was a pleasure to connect with constituents and learn directly from the people of Ohio’s 13th District how I can best serve our communities,” said Rep. Sykes. “I made a commitment when I took office to take the voices of my neighbors with me to D.C., and Community Conversations events like these ensure that the people of Northeast Ohio know I work for them.”
During the Community Conversation, Rep. Sykes provided an update on the legislative and in-district activity she has undertaken since taking office in January. Rep. Sykes also discussed the services her office provides, Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment, and resources to help constituents with their taxes.
The Community Conversation allowed constituents to hear directly from Rep. Sykes about how she is working for them, ask questions, and offer input on ways to address the issues facing our communities.
