Rep. Sykes Offers Condolences On the Passing of Ohio Sen. Kirk Schuring
AKRON, OH — U.S. Representative Emilia Sykes (OH-13) issued the following statement on the recent death of Ohio Sen. Kirk Schuring:
“Kirk Schuring was a dedicated legislator, public servant, family man, and champion for Stark County. Serving with Kirk was a pleasure and he was known as a reliable leader who found a way to work across the aisle, and in support of his constituents everyday.
“His principled approach to legislating made him well respected and I will always remember his efforts in helping me pass H.B. 1 to protect victims in violent relationships. Countless Ohioans have benefited from his service and his presence will be missed. I extend my sincere condolences to his wife Darlene, and his children and grandchildren,” said Rep. Sykes.
