About The Event

Join the Office of Congresswoman Emilia Sykes and special guests for the Girls in S.T.E.A.M. App Building Bootcamp! The event will be held on Wednesday, December 11 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. An award-winning teacher and special guest will guide the participants in creating their own apps, and a guest speaker will share her experiences as the owner of an engineering and design firm. The event is open to any middle school girl who lives in Ohio’s 13th Congressional District. 

The Girls in STEAM Initiative aims to inspire girls to pursue STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) professions to solve real-world problems that will improve their communities.
