About The Event

Join the Office of Congresswoman Emilia Sykes and special guests for the Girls in S.T.E.A.M. App Building Bootcamp! The event will be held on Wednesday, December 11 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at Stark State Akron (33 N. Union St., Akron, OH 44304). An award-winning teacher and special guest will guide the participants in creating their own apps, and a guest speaker will share her experiences as the owner of an engineering and design firm.

A parent or guardian is required, and space is limited. Doors open at 5:30 pm, and the program begins promptly at 6:00 pm. 

The Girls in STEAM Initiative aims to inspire girls to pursue STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) professions to solve real-world problems that will improve their communities.
