Rep. Sykes Releases Statement on President Trump’s Proposed Cuts to Public Broadcasting

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Representative Emilia Sykes (OH-13) issued the following statement on President Trump’s proposed cuts to public broadcasting. 

“These proposed cuts to public broadcasting will have a massively negative impact on Ohio’s 13th Congressional District,” said Rep. Sykes. “Local stations like WEAO and WKSU are critical to our communities, keeping viewers and listeners informed with important news, sports, weather, and traffic updates. These valuable services keep families in Ohio’s 13th Congressional District both entertained and informed, and cutting their funding will be a disservice to our communities, as well as those across the country that aren’t part of bigger media markets.”
