Rep. Sykes Supports Bipartisan Resolution Standing With Israel, Condemns Hamas
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Representative Emilia Sykes (OH-13) voted in support of H.Res. 771, a bipartisan resolution standing with Israel as it defends itself against the barbaric war launched by Hamas and other terrorists and condemning Hamas’ brutal war against Israel.
“I strongly condemn Hamas’ violent and horrific attack on the State of Israel. Attacks on innocent civilians are heinous and never justified, and I am praying for the families in mourning and communities impacted by this violence. These atrocious acts by the terrorist organization Hamas have jeopardized the safety and well-being, not only of Israelis, but Palestinians who overwhelmingly do not support violence,” said Rep. Sykes. “I stand firmly and unequivocally with the Israeli people, the right for Israel to exist, and reaffirm my commitment to supporting the State of Israel in its right to defend itself. We will not let terrorists win.”
