Clean Communities Grants Webinar

Rep. Sykes hosted a Clean Communities Grants Webinar, with special guests from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The event brought together local governments, school districts, non-profits, and private businesses in Ohio’s 13th Congressional District to learn about federal funding opportunities and how to access additional federal resources to keep our communities clean, healthy and safe. The Office of Congresswoman Sykes was joined by Tony Maietta, Environmental Protection Specialist; Lisa Holscher, Environmental Protection Specialist; and Cristina Presmanes, Senior Project Officer from the EPA. The webinar provided an overview of funding opportunities and deadlines for various grant opportunities, including Diesel Emissions Reduction Act Funding, the Clean School Bus Program, the Clean Heavy Duty Vehicle Program, Community Change Funding, and Thriving Communities Funding.
