House Science, Space, and Technology Committee Passes Rep. Sykes’ Amendment To Help Small Manufacturers Utilize A.I.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — This week, the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee passed H.R. 9197, the Small Business Artificial Intelligence Advancement Act. This bill included Rep. Sykes’ amendment which will ensure that Manufacturing Extension Partnerships (MEPs) have the resources they need to provide training and services for small and medium manufacturers to better understand and adopt artificial intelligence technologies in their manufacturing practices.
“Manufacturing Extension Programs, including Northeast Ohio’s Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network, are a key resource for small businesses and manufacturers in Ohio and across the nation. Expanding support for these programs will ensure more small businesses and manufacturers have the training and services they need to implement cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies in their practices, boosting economic growth in our communities,” said Rep. Sykes.
