Rep. Sykes Announces 2023 Congressional Art Competition
WASHINGTON, D.C.— U.S. Representative Emilia Strong Sykes (OH-13) is now accepting submissions for the 2023 Congressional Art Competition. Students grades 9 through 12 must physically submit two-dimensional pieces, such as paintings, photos, drawings, collages, and digital art, to her District Office (121 South Main Street, Suite 107, Akron, OH 44308) no later than Friday, April 28, for consideration. The grand prize winner will receive a complimentary trip to Washington, D.C., to represent Ohio's 13th Congressional District at the national Congressional Art Competition. In addition, the winning piece will be displayed in the US Capitol for the next year.
“I am excited for this opportunity to showcase the immense talent of Ohio’s 13th Congressional District, because after all, we are the birthplace of champions. I want to encourage every artistically inclined high schooler to enter this competition so we can proudly display your beautiful contribution in the halls of the United States Capitol,” said Rep. Emilia Sykes.
