Rep. Sykes Celebrates Tentative Agreement Between Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital And Professional Staff Nurses Association
AKRON, OH – Today, U.S. Representative Emilia Sykes (OH-13) celebrated the tentative contract agreement reached between Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital and the Professional Staff Nurses Association (PSNA), which is represented by the Ohio Nurses Association. As a result of the tentative agreement, PSNA has withdrawn its 10-day notice for an informational picket.
“I am encouraged to see a tentative agreement reached between Cleveland Clinic Akron General and the Professional Staff Nurses Association. This agreement honors the hard work and dedication of our nurses, while also ensuring our community can continue to access quality health care services without interruption,” said Rep. Sykes.
Last week, Rep. Sykes wrote a letter urging Cleveland Clinic Akron and the PSNA to reach an equitable agreement in a timely manner.
